Our background on large-scale, complex road projects has been highly valued in the early stages of North East Link’s development.
With extensive experience in the planning and design of Victoria’s biggest road projects including exposure to EES phases, we are providing key advice to North East Link’s communications and engagement team. Together we are navigating through the communications challenges of planning stages, providing media and ministerial support, engaging with communities and stakeholders and managing reputational risks.
Identifying opportunities for community input into the planning and design of North East Link has been an early hallmark of the project’s success.
Nation Partners has played a lead role in establishing and delivering Community Liaison Groups, community engagement workshops, forums and other reference groups. These groups, including first-of-their-kind Community Technical Discussion Groups, are enabling the project team to capture insights and ideas from community members as they plan the project. This feedback aims to create a design that is best aligned with local expectations and received well within communities.
Working with communities and responding to their enquiries is crucial to successful community engagement on any major infrastructure project.
We have assisted the project to engage with residents and businesses likely to be impacted as well as those living close to a future North East Link.
